When that Hot Light comes on, people come out of the woodwork like moths to a flame. Don't get me wrong, a fresh Krispy Kreme is a pretty good donut. But I've eaten lots of fresh-out-of-the-fryer donuts that can hold their own with Krispy Kreme (or are better), and I didn't have to stand in line and fight off donut-hungry patrons like a pack of Black Friday shoppers at Walmart to get them!

KK tried Times Square once before, about 20 years ago, but it went belly up pretty quickly. They even had "celebrity" ownership in the franchise, including Jimmy Buffett, among others.
