Given our current situation, I consider this a home run hire. As was mentioned, he may not get us to where we ultimately want to be, but I think it is safe to say he will provide the much needed stability we need while cultivating the program back to legitimacy.

Also, just because he "underachieved" at Texas does not mean he can't do even better here.

It doesn't matter about the cylinder in this situation.  The elements that are critical are if the ball was on its downward path (yes) and if it would have hit the rim (No, imho).  It appears to me that a portion of the ball was below the rim when the SMU player touched it.  I guess it could be debated whether or not the ball would have skimmed the rim, but I would have liked to see a no call in that situation.

I believe the intent of the rule is to allow all possible chances for the ball to go in, i.e. the ball possibly bouncing up off the rim and subsequently going in. This wasn't going to happen in any shape or form.

Considering the situation CDT walked into, I believe this team overachieved. I'm pleased with this season in regards to where the ship is pointing.

If they pressured him to be there knowing he was a verbal commit to Tennessee, then I don't see what he did as classless at all.  As has been mentioned, recruiting is a nasty business and this kid held strong under the pressure.

I have watched the first episode and look forward to the rest of the season. The writers seem to be painting too clear a picture of how everything is going to end, so I'm optimistic that they'll throw the viewers some curve balls.

I was going to say that I wouldn't like it if the shoe was on the other foot only as much as I wouldn't like losing on the field. But it being an official visit does damper my enthusiasm for his antics a bit.  However, he's a teenager and you have to admire his big cajones swagger.

Booger McFarland went so far as to say Dobbs would be a Heisman candidate next season.  I don't know about THAT, but I'm optimistic he will continue to progress and be the man under center next year.  If an incoming freshman can unseat him, he'd have to be phenomenal.

I've lived 20 min away from Gburg pretty much all my life (except while in college)  and it still never gets old to me.  Been to Asheville a lot, too of course.   But I don't do art, I do not enjoy fine dining.  Give me a half dozen garlic knots and a big pizza pie from Best Italian and I'm happy as can be.
