I put off replying to this for a few days because I was a little shocked reading the opening thread. I've been around since the Vols won the MNC, what, 14 years? This place is so much more than a sports board. I remember calling my brother at work and telling him that Spurrier was about to resign from UF and him telling me that I was full of shizzle because it wasn't on ESPN. I remember crying on the days that Guido and Tango passed, meeting guys like OJ and Pete through VTTW and recently my wife was shocked when Tony shouted my name, calling us over to his tailgate at the UT - UF game after a eight year hiatus.
Jeff, thanks for all that you have given us, it's a true blessing. However, I'm not ready to let it go. I will do what ever is needed to keep it going

regardless of how much better UF *might* be, or how much improvement we think has been made, the simple fact is UT quit last night and Dooley did nothing (from what I saw from 22 rows back) to stop them from quiting. He is in fact over his head, and he is not a leader, but a manager. IMO, he is not what the UT football program needs, and he needs to go.
We need to get the fizzle off the purse strings and do what every other competing SEC program has done and hire a legit coach.

Sorry for the slow reply
I meant that bermuda has infested my yard and it looks like crap, not the other way around. Thanks for all the good advice, and it looks like Im going to start on my yard late this summer. One last question; is there a major difference between fescue and kentucky blue grass? preference?

Sports / VTTW Message Board / the dreaded lawn question.....

I remember a thread about lawn/grass a while back. I was living in Florida when it came about, so I didn't set myself to retain it. Now that I'm living in Tennessee, my lawn is being overran by fescue and I want to smash it before it gets too bad.
Any one have the solution? I'm afraid that there isn't a selective herbicide that I can treat it with since it's not a broad leaf. Do I have to kill the whole lawn and start from scratch?
