hmm.....wonder why Kirby backed off......
or maybe its because UGA will always be UGA, a team that has it's once every other decade successful season that gets the dwag nation frothing at the mouth only to be followed by several choke artist performances, and Chaney recognized it and bailed.

I'm sure that you're in the know given your smug comment, so do tell, I'm totally curious what knowledge you have. I'm 100% certain that you're completely different than your garden variety college football fan and you sit in the daily staff meetings after practice.

Word is Kirby backed off and we upped the ante. I'm sure the Dawgs will say they didn't want him anyway. hopefully he'll bring at least a few recruits with him with him since he got a bump in pay

Just noticed Missouri is 42nd on that list. More proof that recruiting rankings are over rated, but also proof that coaching and development matters.
Of course, I am on record as saying that Mizzou will seriously suxes without Lock and I stand by that. He is a once in a generation home state product. I seriously doubt they go bowling next year.
Didn't you just get all up in arms when I said that Butch's recruiting were grossly inflated? Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you're saying......

I've been patient a long time. I can be patient a bit longer, but I will be less patient with CJP than CBJ. The reason being, I don't think the cupboard is quite as bare as when doofus left. But it's not great either. I think expecting 7-8 wins next season against a much easier schedule is not unrealistic, and those are my expectations. And if...I stress if...all goes well we might compete for the East in 2020 if JG continues to develop and we find an OL and DL. It's possible.
I think that you're thinking on a smaller scale than I'm speaking of, I'm talking of the entire athletic program and the executive portion of the university itself. More specifically, a good start would get the Pilot money and its influence out of the decision making process, strike a good balance between athletic and sports program interests and even possibly setting up a morals, standards and performance expectations agreement witht he student athletes. A 7-8 season next year isn't the answer that I'm intrested in.

Whoever we get, they need to be a proven quantity. In hindsight, it was a big mistake to hire two coordinators who had never called plays at the P5 level.
I agree, but I also think that it was neccessary at that moment as Pruitt had to assemble a staff very quickly. Also, I don't see either Kingbury nor Freeze as legit candidates. Freeze for obvious reasons, and I think that Kingsbury wil go to the pros

I wouldn't say embarrassing, especially since we just went through the very public gaffed hiring process less than a year ago. I think that people seem to have forgotten just how bad the program, and the University, has been the last 1.5 decades. There's been a constant and continual decline ever since Bensel Meyers started up.
We have a mess that isn't going to just disappear in a few months, patients is a great thing

I didn't write this.....So do you disagree with any of it? I get it...you just like the tailgate experience and could give a crap if Missouri hangs 50 on our ass in Neyland in game 11. Facts are facts. Sorry if you don't like it. Pruitt didn't have much good to say about today's game either.
If you don't like it don't read it.
it doesn't matter who wrote it, you endorsed it by posting it here. You're just another insatiable UT fan that's stuck in 1998.

Yes, we are 2-5 against them, with Dooley and Jones as our coaches. Pruitt will do better IMO. I just don't have any real respect for Missouri and see them as a team that has taken advantage of our down spell.
I mean look how happy they were at the end of this game...and they are 7-4. 7-4 is still a bad year at Tennessee, believe it or not. They aspire to be 7-4 with a lucky-ass once in a generation QB that they won't see again for a long time.
I may not be confident about much, but Tennessee will turn the series against Missouri. Florida and Georgia might be a different matter, but I'd bet money that Pruitt won't lose to Mizzou again for as long as he is at Tennessee.
Don't waste your time, the world just sucks in some peoples eyes

When your team lacks discipline it's 100% on the coach. And this team lacks it.
Patently false, discipline false on the parents shoulders as its developed in the pre-teen years. Coaches/leaders can build on it, but 95% of the time young adult males have formed their way by the time they hit their college years. The coach makes the decision to play them

I'll be honest: I tried cutting the cord. I went back.
My ISP is not especially reliable. It's not terrible, but just bad enough for the stream to hang up at inopportune times during games. Also, I like to have multiple games playing at once and I couldn't do that with Sling. Mostly, though, I liked the interface of satellite better than having to back out to a menu and start a new stream every time I wanted to flip the channel. Plus I missed not being able to record games.
I tried Sling and PS Vue and wound up going back to Dish.
Thanks Ben, that's good info. My wife and I don't flip channels too much, so I think I'm going to give it a try to shee how it works out. Our internet is remarkable, but cable costs WAY too much (with internet & cable [no pay channels], its $280ish). I can cut $150+ a month
