I was in a hole in the wall bar on Alcoa Highway because the power at my Dad's was out and data on my phone also spotty, and it was all orange.  It was probably not quite as good as being in the stadium, but man was that a good feeling!  Finally.  Finally, we beat that shizzle saban while he is still on top of his game.  Such a feeling!

I was sitting/standing/pacing/dancing in a Hotel in Lyon France and it was about 2:00 AM on Sunday morning.   When the Field Goal went over the post I was DANCING A JIG and celebrating with Linda.  We had a great time and finally Linda got to witness Saban going down (before she passed in February)

Hello All

Just wanted to post about something that has happened in my life.  Linda (my SO) has passed away.  On February 17th Linda quietly passed away in her sleep at NHC Farragut.  As many of you know Linda had Colon cancer back in 2013 from the effects of her working in Y12, K25, and X10 due to her exposure to the different chemicals and other hazards present within the Energy Complex in Oak Ridge.  She had some problems that occurred after 2017 nd this caused her some difficulties within the area of her renal systems that ultimately were the cause of death.  Due to these failures her electrolytes and other body processes were affected in that the Kidneys and Liver could not balance the materials needed for her to thrive and live.  I have been starting on the path of handling her Estate since I am the appointed Executor and that has delayed me posting this information to the board.  I know several people had met Linda over the course of the years that she was around and had attended some of the tailgates that I used to host out of the trailer.



This is a pic of Linda along with my dad and a friend of his attending the first game that Linda attended in a long time.  She has issues attending in the 90s and so therefore I was there and she was at home watching.  But after a few years she started coming to the games with me and I always enjoyed having her there with me.

Pirate I would like to add Linda to the host of pictures of people we have lost during our countdown as an honor to my SO and her love and caring for me.  Thank you very much.

We’re gonna be hung over big time this week.  This UTM game is a godsend.  Better than a bye because it gives us a chance to shake off this big victory buzz.  UK scares me a little.  I think it’s more like 75% win chance.

Hello all you Orange Blooded Maniacs.....

My SO and I are over in Lyon, France on a long delayed Silver (25th) Wedding Anniversary and Her Birthday (which is tomorrow the 17th).  We had planned to go to France for our Silver in September of 2020 and well there was this little thing called a pandemic that we had happen and then last year things were still sort of in the dumpster when it came to travel across the pond unfortunately so we had to wait till 2022 to celebrate.  So we planned a vacation around her birthday and celebrating that Silver iconic event.  I knew our travels were going to be during the Bama week, but I was not convinced that we would be talking about a 5-0 team (at the start of Bama Week)....so I thought I would be ok planning this trip around my wife's birthday.  Left last Tuesday going across the pond and arrived in Paris on Wednesday morning.  Had a wonderful gastronomic feast at Restaurant Guy Savoy on Thursday night and then rode the TGV train down to Lyon yesterday and got into the hotel at 4 PM.  Sat around and got some dinner and then promptly at 9 PM local time had the CBS sports app cranked up watching the pregame and readying for the Bummer vs Vols.....and what an exciting night in the hotel room.  I danced the whole first half with our fast start and at halftime we were wondering could we keep this up.  The fourth quarter was draining (and I thought we had screwed the pooch when we fumbled) but Hendo Cinco and the Vols escaped with a TD and then the EPIC 15 second FG drive to win the game.  At 2 AM Local Lyon time I am jumping up and down and having a party over kicking some Bummer Elephant Pink Pachyderm tail!!!!

Oh and Henry T and O show....you have been outclassed, outworked, and absolutely outdueled......go smoke that in your Bummer jersey!! PUSSYYYYYYYYYYYY

Here's what sucks. We SHOULD have beaten Pittsburgh. And we SHOULD have beaten Ole Miss. If it doesn't take so long for Heupel to insert Hooker as QB1, I'm not convinced we don't beat Florida.

If anyone had told me back in August that we even had a prayer of being a 10-win team, I would've laughed out loud.

True story....when I got out of college I went to work down in Augusta, GA for that Power Company (GA Power) and one of the people I met was a big USC(jr) fan.  So he invited me to go with him to one of their games since we had discussed College Football and he knew how much I was missing going to UT games, etc. (this was before they were a member if the SEC)  So I went and we go into the stadium and before the game everybody stands and starts yelling.....here I am going "I am not going to stand up and say that....."  My friend asks me why I am not standing and chanting with him.....I told him I would not stand and shout "Nobody can beat our cocks"....he looked at me and asked why and I almost could not even imagine why he had asked me this....I told him well most people don't go to a public place and yell about Masturbation.  He then started laughing and said "Yeah I guess it could be misconstrued that way."  We had a good laugh about it.

One of the best views of Neyland was coming over the hill from YouTee’s old haunt and the misty fog and just the hint of the miasma of rain in the air and the lights of Neyland provided a magical backdrop to the soon to be butt whooping we were about to administer to the dawgs.  All day we had to listen to that infernal whooping from those desperate canines that swore up and down that Jim Donnan and the dawgs were gonna “rip us a new one”. On the first play from scrimmage Deon Grant purloined the very first pass and scored a TD and it was not the bullpups that ripped a new one....keep telling those dawgs that coon hounds make bull pups even uglier!  Then we had some bull pup igmo (that’s a contraction of ignorant moron) want to fight us cause we told him “good game”.  Sheesh try to be nice and a fan wants to fight us. 

Those are all subjective OPINIONS based on you watching the game.  There are no official statistics for "missed tackles", "flat out of position" and certainly not "setting the defense on the wrong foot" (how can you possibly even pretend to know this?).  Even "passes not defended" is not a stat anyone tracks, at least not with publicly available information.  You can find that stat for NFL players sometimes, but typically only for DBs.  Who knows, it might be out there, but I couldn't find it. I agree this is a weak point for Henry as it is for many LBs, but he was just as bad at it last year.

Every single thing you state is just a subjective opinion.

Its easy to make a star player the whipping boy when the team is not playing well. Apparently you don't realize this is what you are doing.

Sorry I must disagree with you.  I watched last year and noticed the Henry was out of position on many of the "slant routes" where the LB is that 'secondary coverage' person that hits the receiver if the CB/Safety whiffs on the tackle or is actually involved in the coverage.  Was this Henry's fault or was this something in the coverage scheme.  I was frankly very "unnerved" that he Pruitt moved the TE Coach over to coach LBs last year.  The regression of the unit as a whole was in Stark contrast to the previous year.  This was a very bad decision to move Neids to the LB coaching arena in my estimation due to chronic failures in many ways at the position (and not just by Henry).   Overall I would have to give the LB corp a D or a low C- last year for their continued missed tackles, missed opportunities and general lack of 'being in the right place at the right time'....I would bet Al Wilson would tell you the same thing because you could tell when he was interviewed a couple of times he seemed to be not commenting on LB play with the team.

Thanks bro been a hard time what with the plandemic ooooops pandemic wreaking havoc with sports etc.  I had decided in 2019 to forgo getting season tickets since all the games are on TV and what with the climate at the time the donations, etc are no longer tax beneficial oplus I end up going for all day to have time to get into my seat, etc.  Plus getting older I have determined I have better uses for my money than giving it to teenagers in McDonald bags!!!

As a Healthcare worker I have received my shots (Pfizer) along with my SO and no adverse reactions except for a little soreness from the left shoulder where I got the Jabs.  The first shot seemed a little more painful than the second one, but no adverse reactions as to chills, soreness, sleepyness, etc.  So I am doing my week or two of BUILDING antibodies then I am a travelling frenzamatic!!
