26  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: It looks like it's conference games only this year..... on: July 15, 2020, 02:30:07 EDT
Still trying to figure out why a virus would differentiate between conference games and non-conference games. That’s one intelligent virus. But smarter men than I have been telling us for weeks that church goers are callous murderers while looting and rioting in the name of social “justice” is perfectly safe- virtuous, even- so what do I know?

If the SEC does this, I hope they’ll at least expand the conference schedule to 10 games or more.

Did you not know that this virus is intelligent and only affects people that the libturds want to be infected?  After all according to CNN not one case of COVID19 has been found in people that were a part of or attended BLM rallies.  But according to the CDC Black African Americans were in the group that had contracted the COVID 19 disease the most of any population group.  At first it was "wear a mask to protect yourself from getting the disease" and now it is "wear a mask to protect others from getting the disease"....oops if I am negative (and I am I was tested due to having to go to a hospital back in June) and I am not wearing a mask the only thing that I could do is get sick because I am not a carrier and I could not transmit it to others.  Sometimes it seems like science is not even on their radar.....oops radar is science so oh well I guess nothing will penetrate their socialistic BS.

Question:
If one works from home, how does one leave early??

Droner:  Time to leave.
Chair:  See you Monday boss.
Droner: Thanks for supporting my a$$ this week!

28  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: The world is a poorer place, Charlie Daniels has passed on: July 10, 2020, 04:58:05 EDT
I went to high school with Charlie, Jr. Charlie, Sr. was larger than life when we were kids.  He was very generous to his chosen hometown of Mt. Juliet. Thinking about riding out to the memorial service tomorrow.

I have been to several of his concerts and met him once many years ago as a college student when one of my compadres in college who was the son of a country music personality introduced us to Charlie.

They're coming after Neyland Stadium. (And Bryant-Denny Stadium... and Rupp Arena... and Kyle Field... and etc.)

https://t.co/4OXOOYxVrI

So when do they start coming after "The Collisseum" out in Los Angeles?  After all Romans were Racist because they not only enslaved Black Africans but enslaved many different races including the Goths, Brits, etc.

When do the all the Muslims get to be bashed?  Beginning in about 600-700 AD the Muslim people were on the rise and began trading with Black African tribes for spices, metals, oh and slaves?  So when do we get rid if any names that have Muslim connotations?

So if your Muslim you are not racist but you are racist if you are white?  Now that is a true crock of caca!!

I’ve had a 9mm for a few years. Got it in the wake of the terror attack in Chattanooga. A couple weeks ago, I got a shotgun. And just yesterday, I ordered a new toy:
I’ve never even really been a “gun guy” in my entire life up to now. But if the mob comes for me, I’m taking a few out with me.
Which Shotgun did you end up purchasing.  I have been looking at a couple of Mossbergs and a couple of Brownings!

32  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: If you thought streaming had killed off DVD and Blu Ray... on: June 30, 2020, 01:55:00 EDT
Nawrite then
It is not about statues or movies that have been around for 50 years it is about freedoms of expression and the right to think without having to check in with the intelligentsia to know what to think.  The socialists controlling the democrats want to control what you see, think, how you vote, et al.  That way they stay in control.  I call that the NAZI model because that is exactly what Hitler executed in Germany.  People were jailed, beaten, and executed for criticizing and resisting De Furher!  This country was built on the beliefs of personal responsibility and helping others that needed help.  If you really want to understand the System of Government in America you should read information about how masonry and the government in the US.  The framers of the constitution knew that Masonry offered checks and balances that would help prevent abuses of power and that is why the government was modeled as a tricameral system where each branch was kept in check by the other two.  So all of this crap about words and movies is to hide the power grab that is trying to be forced upon us.  RESISTANCE IS NOT FUTILE WHEN IT IS SOCIALISM YOU ARE RESISTING!
33  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: If you thought streaming had killed off DVD and Blu Ray... on: June 30, 2020, 12:59:57 EDT
If things ever collapse like some think possible, would life as we know it even be worth it? I like guns for reasonable self preservation. If it all collapses, ain't nobody going to be having fun. This is another flair up. It too will pass. I personally, don't idolize iron/steel/concrete statutes of insurgent/terrorist military leaders. Or movies I've already seen. That's just me
I am so struck by those that want to rewrite history as the libturds want.  I for one think slavery is abhorrent, but I for one have never ordered the beating of another person or  raised a whip to beat another person.  I don’t owe one damn thing to people that were slaves or descendants of slaves and oh by the way all the damn BLM crowd should go back and read about the Irish people that were sold into “indentured servitude” by people they owed money to over U.K./Ireland.  There were more Irish in that state than blacks in slavery.  I think they need to learn history teaches lessons but all the woke a$$hats want us to see is that we are mistreating them but not kissing their a$$es and paying their bills. F that!

Oh and btw those that want to pull down statues of Washington cause he had slaves will you also want to shoot Hillary cause she is a f’en traitor?

It's ok, he "virtually" works 4.5 days a week ...

The good news is that for 4.5 days a week droner's liver gets a break ...
So does this “virtually” cancel out his Wine purchases too?  If you have a virtual wine and a virtual liver does this mean you are virtually there for the happy hours?
35  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: If you thought streaming had killed off DVD and Blu Ray... on: June 28, 2020, 11:52:25 EDT
Idk where or when I got it but somehow I have Blazing Saddles in my DVDs.  Talk about a movie that'll never see the light of day again..

All of the "woke" socialists can kiss my Mel Brooks A$$.  F em all......and I guarantee you I will send them packing if they come at me with any of that BS about the words being offensive.  Words are not offensive to people that can separate words from the BS beliefs of a bunch of a commie libtards.

Frankly I hope they come and try to take my DVDs .... I will dissuade them with my 9 mm persuaders.

PS I just had to add the following to this post.  When all of the COVID crap came down I immediately went and got some more ammo. Right now the SO and I have over 1000 rounds of 9mm and I am thinking about what shotgun to purchase out of three models of 12 Gauge that I am looking at.  I was just talking with my Dad Saturday and Yesterday during the annual ARRL Field Day event and we were discussing plans in the event of something happening in November.  Frankly I am ready to move away from TN if needed to preserve my sanity or go to Crossville and live on the family farm with all of the ammo and guns that I can pile up.

That hit was as hard as the one in the 2001 UF game.  I still remember the decleater that was put on the UF receiver by one of the LBs and it was one of those that the receiver gets up going "what day is this coach" hits.

2007 World Krystal eating competition is on now....Yes I'm watching.

There was a time 30 or so years ago I could have given them a run for their money at 3am.

We were at a tailgate back in the day and one of our own (ex Volunteer player for Johnny Majors) was discussing the Krystal eating habits if himself and several of his OL compadres and let me just say that I maxed out at 10 Krystals back when I was a hefty younger man and he was discussing eating 50 per person.

Can you make spam into a gourmet meal?

Yes you can.  You basically take some cold steamed rice and add in some really good umami (soy sauce) and create fried rice with the addition of some fresh peas and carrots and other vegetables and add in a scrambled egg, then you fry off a piece of spam.  Now take a serving of the fried rice and put this in a bowl and add the fried spam and a poached egg on top and drizzle a little extra soy sauce on this and add in some cilantro and this is a great dish.

Dang, take care of yourself. I always tell people, "I'm too old to fall down".  I have 140 bottles of wine, a bottle of rum, a bottle of single malt scotch and a bottle of Limoncello.

Ummm I have enough bourbon and other distilled spirits that I have a good 30 day supply.  If they close the stores then the people will riot so the city of Knoxville deemed them "required businesses"

41  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: Tap, Tap, Tap on: March 17, 2020, 05:17:20 EDT
All went well and all the wine was consumed.

Almost all went well.

This trip cost a lot more than usual since I hit pothole on I-77 and tore up a tire. Fortunately it was a run-flat tire and it stayed inflated for 17 miles until I could get to the BMW dealer in Columbia. I needed two new front tires anyway. So $550.00 later and two hours of wait time and I was back on the road.

So since droner is a figment of our imagination was it Monopoly Money?

This team keeps showing flashes of their potential. It’s probably too late to make a run for the postseason, but I’m pretty excited about next year. Everyone except Bowden is back, and they’ll be bolstered by a top 5 recruiting class.

To quote one of my all time favorite baseball movies "I say win the whole f'ing thing"

Cheater, should be in Jail if you ask me.  Smart should have been excommunicated by the NCAA for taking the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
45  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: So, what about the overturned calls? on: December 30, 2019, 08:46:17 EST
The ball trapped in the end zone was the correct call. The targeting calls have been the most irritating to me. What is a defensive player to do when he's going low to avoid hitting the ball carrier in the head but the ball carrier lowers his head? It should be a penalty for the ball carrier to do that.

But the overturn on the scoop and score IMO was ridiculous. What is a "football move"? If having control of the ball with both hands and taking three steps isn't a football move then you're not going to be able to explain it to me.

danged tiglets.

Droner (AKA The Internet's most Invisible/Visible Poster)

I think the targeting rule needs better definitions than "defenseless player" as part of the criteria.  During one of the UT games (I forget which one) Bituli was tackling the ball carrier and they called him and ejected him for targeting. It was clear that Bituli was tackling the player and had his head down, but the player was also bending over to take the impact on his shoulder pads rather than on his side.  There has to be some clarity given that makes the rule much more clear and able to be adjudged and called rather than the term "defenseless player" being applied.

You are as fizzleing CLUELESS as the day is LONG!  You make trolls cringe!

Like I have said previously volsboy would find something to complain about if Barnes and company went 40-0 and won all the games and the National Title in Basketball.  All of us:  Wooohooooo Barnes and Company won the Natty and the Vols are the Champions of the NCAA......volsboy's hot take "Yeah they won the natty but their shorts were too long and the Tennessee on their chests looked out of size to the uniforms"

I guess his glass will always be 3/4 empty no matter how good Pruitt is as a coach or Barnes or anyone else. Since he knows everything why doesn't he take over the duties as the Athletic Director.  Oops I forgot he doesn't know everything!!!!!!!!

& now the socialist leader starts his long reflection goodbye
Corbyn says he won't lead Labour into another election but won't say when he'll resign or when a new election for Labour leader would be scheduled.  Given his actions after the last set of local (council) elections it might take a couple tons of C4 to get him out

BTW, interesting tidbit.  When a general election is called the House of Commons is dismissed for 30 days to campaign.  Essentially, the UK has no formal government - their equivalent of the federal civil service runs the show

Oh that we could have this in the US

Understatement of the year  century    millenium
Try since the earth was cooling after the Big Bang!  Barnes could go 40-0 and Volsboy would complain that their shorts were too loose and they could only hit 90% of their free throws!

50  Sports / VTTW Message Board / Re: So, what the Heyull happened in Vandy's 1st possession???? on: December 02, 2019, 06:49:14 EST
I'm whole-heartedly with you on that.

While sitting watching the play I am like "why does the IDIOT Candy player that rips 94's helmet off not get flagged for that one?"  Secondly the Running Back should have received a warning for unneccessary roughness just like a targetting call.  If you rip someone's helmet off like he did Alontae's on the play it is a definite injury problem that should be covered as well as player targetting calls.  Taylor's head swiveled around about 45 degrees off of true it looked like in the replay and that could be very hurtful.
