Can be purchased anywhere in the country. Your teams have been dismal for years. They aren't tough enough and recruiting has to drastically improve. Most here know all this, but there are a couple who bury their heads in the sand and blame others for what's wrong in Knoxville. BG

You bet I did. Question: Does Cochran also double as your team "pharmacist", or would we need to sign them both? Don't kid yourself. Those guys worked hard in the weight room and in Saban's 4th quarter program. Your head coach would tell you the same. BG

"Aight" is already trending on twitter. That's also a standard saying by Saban. In fact he says it so much, when he first got to T-town we Tide fans would at times jokingly answer others posts with "aight." I don't why but the "aight" must be coaching contagious. BG

He's not a great public speaker but he can probably communicate with players and recruits.
One of the posts I linked about him mentions he is no greater orator but one-on-one can be impressive. I also mentioned that one UT source has earlier said he "killed" his first interview. That obviously speaks well of his ability to get his point across, and "close the deal" when recruiting. Again, no one knows for sure how he will adjust to being a head coach, but communication while recruiting shouldn't be a weakness. BG

This occurred to me also. Not sure the CSU OC or Helton's boy will revive our offense, but the other names seem solid to excellent. Tracy Rocker is my age...I recall hearing his name quite a bit in Neyland in the classic UT - AU games of the late 80s. On the wrong side of it, but we beat them badly in 85. Rocker was an All-American for Auburn. He's also supposedly an excellent coach. BG

So, assuming it is Pruitt, I have heard one sticking point was when he was going to start. He apparently wanted to stay at Bama thru the playoffs - I wonder how that shook out........if true.
You guys should do a whole thread about this subject and look at the pros and cons. It's controversial for some Tide fans too, as some don't want a DC whose attention is diverted by issues in Knoxville, and UT fans want a coach who is hitting the road running now and not waiting until the playoffs to end. I read a Georgia fan post saying they thought they benefited from a lot of national TV attention about Kirby and the Dawgs during the playoffs two years ago, and that he wouldn't want a coach who didn't want to help the kids he's recruited and coached to win the final games that determine the championship, which I agree with completely. I read one report the he will coach the playoff games but will start recuiting and putting together staff immediately.
Yes, and same as Kirby Smart who did the same two years ago. He's going to pull double duty until after the playoff. BG

Not sure Dabo will be their next coach.....He's getting close to the same talent....winning championships and playing for it all dang near every year. He has a down year at Clemson he's earned the right to rebound. At Bama they will burn him if he doesn't carry on what Saban left. The ole saying don't be the man that followed the man.
Many, if not most, Tide fans know it's very questionable whether Dabo would leave Clemson. He's apparently very happy and he has family to think of. It's something even he probably doesn't yet know. They've put a lot of money into their facilities and into his contract, and that shows they will do most whatever it takes to keep him. While I know he takes great pride in being part of the '92 national championship team (he came back to this year's 25th year celebration), this is a business and he has to do what's right for he and his family. No one will know until that time comes. BG
