No, not a must win. There won't be any of those until next year. My expectations for this season were 5-7 and I am not budging from that. I am optimistic that we will do better, but we are still a year or even two away from where I would expect us to compete for the SEC. I would say one year, if not for the QB situation.

I just want a win - period - be it by a single point or 3 touchdowns. Any win against the Crocs would do wonders for the program right now.

Our D is definitely much improved. Not as good as they can be, but much, much better. The last two years were very painful, especially 2012.

Seriously. I've defended Peterman as much as anyone, but you need to go back and watch the third quarter again before posting on this subject. Peterman is clearly not ready to compete in the SEC. Not even close. If Worley goes down this season, we're in a world of hurt.
I'll post whatever the hell I want, thank you very much.

Dude, go back and watch those series again. He was bad. Really bad. I didn't expect him to look like Peyton, but given all the hype we were hearing about him in August, I was at least expecting him to generate some first downs, give us field position, and above all, not turn the ball over. I haven't looked at the stats, but I would guess that other than the double reverse, we had a net loss of yards and a turnover on the rest of his snaps.
What? You believe offseason hype? How long have you been a football fan? I admit above that I was distracted during the Peterson series. I will go back and watch if I can find a rerun, becauce I didn't record it. But I will still insist that even if he had a terrible game it doesn't mean he is going to suck for all time. I'm simply not going to make a snap decision that he will always suck just because he played a bit poorly on the road in Athens with all the pressure in the world on his shoulders.

Caoching...I noticed, as probably the entire world did, that Mason Hudson cannot throw downfield very well (thank God). So around the start of the second uga went to screens and backfield dumps and it worked. (ahem)...though they still got a couple to work, for the most part we contained that much better in the second half. Can you say SECOND HALF ADJUSTMENTS? Because Dooley would not know such if it hit him in the head...which it did, repeatedly. So nice to finally feel good about the direction this team is going.

McNeil mades some good plays at Safety and you neglected to mention the Kelly int. Kelly made some other good plays. Between Randolph, Sutton, Kelly jr, and McNeil we have a pretty good backfield that's going to be around another year or so. Coleman is gone after this year (I think he's a senior?) but as you point out is a bit more consistent this year.

I was talking on the phone to a good Vol friend while watching the game. He had to do some errands for his wife and I was giving the play by play. A couple times I got behind on my DVR and fast forwarded through commercials, and I think I missed a drive, because I thought Peterman only threw 4-5 passes. I didn't record it, but I may revise my opinion a bit if I go back and watch it.
I just recall thinking he did well enough on the first drive. Not sure about the rest.

Peterman's fumble came due to a miscommunication between him and Hurd. He was supposed to keep the ball there, and he took responsibility for it on the bench after the play. The fumble in the EZ came with Worley in. I didn't really have a problem with the play call there. In hindsight, I might've gone with a QB sneak. But with the pressure UGA was getting, I definitely wouldn't have attempted a pass.
I put the Lane fumble that ended the drive on Lane. If Peterman contributed and fessed up, good for him. But on my TV, the ball was right in Lane's brisket and he was looking right. If he wasn't supposed to get the ball, then I guess that's not entirely his fault, but he IS a fifth year senior.
