I'm forced to let my staff have vacation time. So with one on vacation for the entire week and the other off for today and tomorrow, I've actually had to work hard this week. I've got to admit: I don't like it.

What I need is a day on which I can leave early. And start a three day weekend. Hmm, when could that be?

Thanks TNFlower. Yes time is the most important thing in my life now. Can only work part-time because of my wife, but the company I work for is truly family-oriented. I am close enough to retirement and have paid my house and bills off, I do not have to work 40 hrs a week to survive. Except for my car buying addiction, I can pay the bills without hitting savings.

Droner, you never answered the question about The Goat Killer. I assume you missed them.

I stopped just in tme. We thought it was a large white dog until we just about came to a complete stop. It was the first time I almost hit a goat.

We were at my friends' lake house in Abbeville County. Driving one of the country roads on the way to breakfast Saturday morning, I came flying around a curve and hit the brakes when I saw a large white dog in the middle of the road. Lucky for the dog I stopped in time. Oddly though, it wasn't a dog.

It was a goat.

Speakng of SC, our Charleston trip is in a few weeks.  What are some restaurants?

It's been a while since I went into Charleston. Lately we have been staying close to Seabrook and Kiawah. So I haven't kept up with the intown restaurants.

I've always liked Hymans. They had one stretch a few years ago when they were down but in general it's usually reliable seafood. The last time I ate regularly in Charleston I liked Magnolias, 82 Queen Street, Carolinas and Slightly North of Broad. But there are many more now.

If you want to eat at one of the best places around, go to Heges out at Kiawah/Seabrook. But that's a big drive for one meal. And it's a fairly pricey meal at that. But I haven't had anything better in Charleston.

If you live in Knoxville, there's a good reason you're suffering. Knoxville is the second worst city for allergies in the US.
