And, his blind loyalty to his staff is too reminiscent of one of Coach Fulmer's main weaknesses.

This is what scares the crap out of me, if Cut is hired and Fulmer stages the palace coup and takes the AD chair.  Say that Cut doesn't succeed.  Do you really think that Fulmer would have to the stones to do what must be done, especially seeing as it involves his lifelong friend?  And even if he DID, would you really trust him to hire a competent replacement?  How many quality hires did Fulmer make in the last decade?  Two?  Three?

If Kiffin left this program on life support, then Cut may be the one to pull the plug, and Fulmer the one to bury the corpse.

How was he let go in a negative way?  He had two losing seasons in his last 4.  His forte was recruiting, and the talent level he left proved that he stopped doing that well.  He was paid $6 million not to coach football any longer, was honored multiple times by the university and fans, and was given an office at the university and provided a secretary and office expenses at our expense.

How in the world was me mistreated?

He got hit with a perfect storm and none of you have shown the capacity to sympathize with that.

Fulmer didn't have the stones to make coaching staff changes when they were long over due.  Do you really think he would ever pull the trigger on a lifelong friend like Cut?

Now you are doing the same thing to the situation that you do with my personal positions. You are manipulating it beyond the reality of the situation. It may happen but it hasn`t yet. That is chicken little and the sky is falling.

A post that proves the non-response response point.  The "typical" label seems appropriate.

Good night, shadow.  You once told me that my posts didn't make sense.  To use something like that in Fulmer's defense is absolutely pathetic and shows just how clueless you really are.

The only "perfect storm" that Phil Fulmer endured was one he created himself.

You are the definititon of a Fulmerite, Phillistine, or any of the other not so nice sheep tags that blind Fulmer supporters were given by internet posters.

That would require his getting his head out of Phillip's butt first.

LOL. Fulmer was hit by a perfect storm?

I'd like to see details of this perfect storm...He lost his edge on the recruiting trail, was guilty of hanging on to under-performing assistants for too long, wasn't disciplining his players enough, and lost a little bit of fire in general. That's a perfect storm?

Unless a perfect storm is having your OC leave to take a head coaching job elsewhere and your new OC was a flop (maybe because you didn't give him enough rope), I don't understand.

WOW!  I haven't been around lately and completely ouy of touch, and I come here to find this.

I had no idea that Kiffiin left for USC until I heard what I thought was a rumor this morning, and now Ham is trying to bring Cut back?  This is lunacy.  To make matter worse, there is this type of arguements that try to support one of the most boneheaded decisions Ihave ever heard of in my life.  My day couldn't be any more complete

To be honest, i under estimated the whole division theory.  That is until now, reading this, I finally see it.  Fulmer, and his while regime, suckedand sucked the life out of the entire program.  Warm up to it Tshadow, because eventhe most orange tinted glasses can not shield you from the fact

Hey Mark, one of my best friends, an Army Reserve JAG COL has been recalled to active duty and will be in Kabul, Afghanistan starting April 1.  He'll be the Chief of Legal Development, training and mentoring the general counsels of the Afghan National Army and national police.  And to think, I once trained and mentored him!

My son found out he leaves on either April 17 or 18.  He'll be at an FOB about 30 miles out from Kabul.

Give him our best.  If he ever needs a JAG lawyer while there,....     My nephew goes to Fort Leonard Wood next Wednesday for basic and AIT.  Who knows after that.

You don`t see it. You see your buddies attacking a strawman construct. At no time have I said bring fulmer back. When the rumors were that may happen I still didn`t jump on board with it.

Where did FLVOL or anyone else say you wanted Fulmer back?  The fact is Cut is associated with Fulmer.  People have a hard time separating the two based on their strong personal and professional ties.  How is pointing that out "attacking a strawman construct"?  Pointing out your bias for Fulmer, and hence an associated bias for Cut, is not saying you want Fulmer back.  But, it is a logical conclusion.  Those fans who are more pro-Fulmer are more apt to be pro-Cut, or at least more sympathetic to his hiring.  That simply makes sense based on their similarities and ties.  How is that attacking a strawman or even a bothersome proposition?  I do not even see it as a negative; it just is.
