I'm with Granny. I cringed when this stuff first started to come out in the public light earlier this week. I'll admit that I would take more than a little satisfaction from Kiffin's career in college football crashing and burning, if it came to that, but at the very least this is going to tarnish our university's reputation just a little more. And it has the potential to be a huge black eye...even if there's nothing involved that would draw the attention of the NCAA.
I will say this: I hope that any booster who helped enable Kiffin's behavior is told they and their money is no longer welcome in this program. And IF Hamilton knew about it and helped cover it up or even if he knew about it and simply sat on it, I hope he is fired immediately.

By the way, if it's revealed that boosters did indeed provide Kiffin with an apartment to "rendezvous" with coeds does anyone think that it wouldn't give a lot of credence to Keith Easterwood's allegations in the minds of many?

I don't see how, I don't see the connection.

The human brain makes its own connections. A coach alleges that the university sends out college girls to sexually woo recruits to Tennessee...then it's alleged that boosters helped facilitate the head coach with an apartment near campus so the coach can have some fun with college girls whenever he feels like it. I'm not saying there's a connection there...but I'll bet you that there will be more than a few who will. They'll use the latter to convince themselves that the former is also true.

BTW, assuming all this is true, let's not just throw the boosters (whoever they may be) under the bus. They may have been told something innocent like "I'll be working a lot of late nights, and it would really help if I had a place near campus. Can you help?". Let's not just assume that our boosters knowingly funded a brothel.

Possibly, but then some have already been thrown under the bus: "Afterward, Kiffin and a few of the boosters and co-eds left the club to continue their fun at the downtown apartment."

Whether or not he did it or not, what's done is done. ANYONE involved in a coverup of any kind is just as guilty as CLK and CEO (if they did do anything) I think at this point it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. I don't approve of any of it, but if the envelope were pushed and it came out there was a coverup involving people from the university, how good would that look Let it go, he's gone, I think his name should never be mentioned here again FWIW.

If ANYONE knew of shenanigans with coeds, drinking... drugs, driving under the influence, holy crap... we're talking major potential for LOIC. This could be fun to see "he who must not be named" squirm but it's a double edged sword and I would HATE to hear of something that hinted of a coverup.
has nothing to do with NCAA. Lane Kiffin can be provided stuff by boosters, as long as recruits and players were not using them

Has nothing to do with NCAA, and may not even break any other rules/laws -- but it certainly does nothing to help the image of the University of Tennessee football program if it comes out... Think how a future recruit's mother (and, BTW, lots of these kids come from single parent families) would view this kind of a FB environment, wondering If the coaches do that, what are the kids doing?" Tell me how any of this might be positive in any way, other than fulfilling someone's desire for vengeance?

BTW, I want to reiterate what I said before, that I think this stuff just needs to stop and we need to move on. Whatever the truth is, it would cast an ugly light on the University. I do hope if it IS true that this kind of stuff is stopped immediately. Dooley will clean it up. I must say, if you look a the alleged picture of the party... that looks like Mrs. Kiffin speaking with Coach Tomlin. A bunch of nothing is my bet. But the movie still needs casting!

I agree that this needs to be dropped. If this is indeed kiffin's persona, then he will continue it in Southern California. Let them expose him if it's true. The slime will be associated with their university and not ours.
