He was better than Happy Feet. (Not really, but I thought it at the time)

Yep, Onterrio went to Oregon and played well after getting booted from UT. Same for DT Lynn McGruder who went to Oklahoma and is now in the NFL.

He's not the typical example but I think Jeremy Bates had a pretty good end to his career as an option QB at Rice, and he's a star in the coaching ranks now.

Didn't we have a linebacker go to Ole Miss?

I liked him also. Although it would have been tough or impossible to top what Peyton later did, I have no doubt that Branndon would have done better at UT with more talent around him and not having to adjust to a transfer, than he did at A&M, and he did pretty well at A&M. Or put another way, I think Branndon could have been one of our better QBs, had Peyton not been around.

I think Stewart threw a pick-6 that caused A&M to lose to USL (now La - Lafayette).

I liked Stewart better than Manning at first. I liked him better because he reminded me of Heath Shuler's style of play. A passer who had really good running skills. Shuler is one of my all time favorite Tennessee QB's

Stewart had a habit of dropping the center snap, which went a long way in keeping him on the sidelines and Peyton on the field. Peyton certainly took full advantage of his opportunity and earned the job. Plus, Brandon's father Reg, didn't help his son with either the coaches or fans with the way he ran his mouth to the media.

He also threw a TD pass to (I think) Sirr Parker that helped aTm beat KSU and put us in the BCSCG against FSU.

Apparently both his parents had their faults. I remember a line from Hyams' book on Manning. He said that when Manning threw an interception in the loss to Alabama in '94, one person in the UT section stood up and cheered: Vickie Stewart.
