We had our home inspections today. I have not heard yet about our current house, but my father in law was here (there were plumbers here at the time and he had to let them in) and he overheard the inspector tell the agent that everything looked great.
I met with our inspector for their house and I have already seen the report... there were only two things on the report that he marked poor and those are easily fixable... we'll request that the seller fix. Overall, he told me that we were extremely lucky... we found a house built in 2002 that looked virtually new. "Wonderful construction and layout" was the exact words he used.
So now it appears that the only thing standing in our way is truly the appraisal of their house. Fingers crossed. 23 days until closing.
