Memphis....and I used to love Memphis. I lived there as a child and still have family there, but I hate to even drive throught there anymore. The place is a war zone. Years ago I could not wait to come home from whatever place and make it down to Beale St. and Overton Square. Now I would need full body armor and air support to even think about it.

I was born and raised in Memphis.  It was the quietest, cleanest, city in the south.  And was still that way when I left in 1958.  Now like Panhandle I won't even drive through the city.  I use to walk along Main St. at midnight after going to the movies with a couple of other girls and never thought anything about it.  What a lifetime ago that was.  A great city gone to he;; !
