It was outstanding to hear so many others do Paul's Song's. Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters & Nirvana fame) tore the place up with "Band on the Run". It was so funny to look around the crowd when they announced the artists and so many of the stuffed suits had no clue who they were. I'm sure it will repeat. It was really great to watch.

Yeah, I saw that. Pretty good indeed.

Did you notice at the end that Speaker Nancy Pelosi was on the stage singing and clapping along with the 'Hey Jude' ending? It appeared she couldn't keep time and then suddenly she wasn't there anymore! She had weasled her way up between Paul & the Prez and then she  suddenly vanished.

Sorry, but after McCartney lectured Americans about politics a couple of weeks ago he can kiss my red, white, and blue ass.  I wouldn't walk across the street to see him for free.

I love John, Paul, George, and Ringo as much as anyone, but I hate Pelosi (spelling?) with as much disdain as bammer fans. And I love all the Beatles, their politics matter not to I. But Yoko on the other hand.

Here you go, and you can kiss my red, white, and blue ass, too.  I'm pretty much over your "show me a link" attitude.  I've been backing what I say with reason and fact here for a lot of years.  Here's your fricking link:

Good grief.  All he wanted to do was read the story, why so testy?    I bet some are over you being so confrontational.  Just sayin.  I've never seen Bandit as a smart-aleck at all, I just don't understand you jumping his case.  It's standard practice to supply links with stories.  I didn't on the Joe Schad story because it was from Twitter and I thought that was understood.  We won't demand to know who your sources are, don't worry.

I know exactly how you feel. It would not go over well with the brits if Toby Keith were to tell the queen what the hell to do. Plus, McCartney is so ignorant of American politics and he get's what he deserves when he spouts off. I have never trusted a man who doesn't eat meat. Women who don't eat meat mean nothing because they do some of the wierdest things anyway.

I do like McCartney's tunes, though.

There was a 2 hour special on CBS about a year or so ago honoring George Strait. It was similar in format, many country stars singing his songs. It was pretty good, but I kept thinking,"It sounds better when George sings them."

Not that I have a dog in this hunt, and I certainly don't know or care what else McCartney may have said, but his quote in 101st's linked article has absolutely nothing to do with "lecturing" Americans about politics or the American political system.  He basically took a shot at GWB's intelligence, which many have done, including conservatives and republicans.  Where in that story is anything about Paul M. lecturing anyone on anything about politics?

I can see why people think it was classless, and it probably was (it certainly wasn't the time or place for slamming anyone's intelligence), but it wasn't a shot at America, Republicans, the American system, capitalism, etc., just a shot at Bush's smarts, plain and simple.

Heck, I am a Democrat, but I can't stand Pelosi either, and would certainly not take any offense to my country if some British rock star insulted her intelligence.

What if some mild mannered Tennessee fan living in the hell hole that is alabama, insulted her intelligence.
