(FIRE Safety lesson here)
No kidding; earlier this week I pulled something out of the freezer, stuck it in the TO and then realized I needed something at the grocery that is just 1 mile from home, for a side dish. For one of the first, if not the only time in my life, I left the oven on and left the house. I went to the store and fretted the whole time, but less than twenty minutes later I was back home. Immediately I went to the TO and all was well. But, in the next twenty minutes the TO got it's coils stuck burning full blast, fully red hot! It burned my dish. I'm all into fire safety being a former firefighter. If the oven had hung-up in the first 20 minutes when I was gone, there could have been a fire. I NEVER should have left the TO on and left the house! I was lucky there, let me tell ya'.
So, I'd like a good replacement toaster oven, and I'm kind of found of the convection ovens. When I turned it off, it never powered up again. It's deadern than doo-doo. What do ya'll recommend and why?
Also, do any of you have a Keurig, single cup coffee maker? My Dad bought one a few months back for about $150. That sucker makes some really nice coffee for about $.50/cup in less than one minute. And it is HOT coffee (with the k-cup brewing cups. If you haven't seen, you won't understand. ) Ebay has some deals, some 1/3rd off. I really want one of these coffee makers; might happen this month. Gotta get a new toaster-oven first and formost!
