Allright, here's the deal:  assume the top 25 athletes in any given single state are recruited to the same team, every year, year after year, and the coaching staff is a given (same coaches good or bad, just take coaching, facilities, fanbase, etc. out of the equation).

Given all that, if you could stock a team with only the *best* players from one and only 1 state, year after year, which state's players would produce the best and most successful football team?

I'd say it's between Florida and California, but I change my mind every time I think about it.

"Best", I don't know.  But Texas, California, and Florida are three of the four largest states in the nation, so naturally they're going to produce the most.  What I found interesting was Louisiana.. which produces the most NFL players per capita, since it ranks 25th in the nation in population but has the 6th most players in the NFL.

I voted for Cali, because I saw an article a couple years ago that said Cali had the greatest number of HS football players in the NFL.  Texas was second and Florida third.  I do think La was 4th, but it may have been either Georgia or Ohio.
