Does anyone have suggestions which I should get her, the Wii or Kinect? Game suggestions for a 11 yr old girl?

Kinect is the superior piece hardware, but there aren't many games out for it yet (BTW, you do know that you have to have an Xbox to go with it, right?).  They just announced the Wii's replacement set for launch next year, so I'd say if you wait awhile, you should find some pretty good deals on it.

Based on game selection I'd say Wii.

My 9 year old girl LOVES the WII. We have no experience with the Kinect, but it looks cool. Go ahead and get both!

I don't own either, but have played both.  Wii = much larger game selection.  Kinect = more fun

Also Mario Kart is on the Wii.  One of my all time favs.  I've almost bought a Wii on several occassions just for this game.

The Kinect doesn't impress me. Great concept; it'll just take a while to work the kinks out of it I think. My kids enjoy it, though.

You can't go wrong with a Wii.
