You can be sure UF would try to block them, but I think they'd be a good fit.  If we can't get OU or VPI right now, they'd be the next best option IMO.

I'd be fine with OU only if they come alone. If they're a package deal leave them.

FSU doesn't seem to add much to our footprint, BUT they're a good defensive move since adding them keeps other conferences out of Florida (Miami has limited local appeal).

North Carolina has too big a population and too high a growth rate to ignore so at some point we need to do something there.

Below are the 19 most populous states according to the 2010 Census.

STATE    2010_POPULATION
California   37,253,956
Texas   25,145,561
New York   19,378,102
Florida   18,801,310
Illinois   12,830,632
Pennsylvania   12,702,379
Ohio   11,536,504
Michigan   9,883,640
Georgia   9,687,653
North Carolina   9,535,483
New Jersey   8,791,894
Virginia   8,001,024
Washington   6,724,540
Massachusetts   6,547,629
Indiana   6,483,802
Arizona   6,392,017
Tennessee   6,346,105
Missouri   5,988,927
Maryland   5,773,552

If we could add just one team to the east, UNC would be my pick.  But there's no way they're leaving the ACC.  I'd like to gain a foothold in NC too, but UNC is really the only one worth having.  Duke doesn't bring much to the table other than hoops, and they're also not leaving the ACC.  That leaves NCSU, and I don't see that they would add much if anything to this league.  So I think we should concentrate on VPI and FSU to the East, and TAM and OU/Missou to the West.

Slive wouldn't touch UNC with a 10 foot pole in any case.

Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
