any thoughts on what could cause this proble...

PC connected wirelessly through a linksys router -- every time the pc is rebooted, must disable/enable the wireless adapter for it to connect to the network.  PC is set up to connect automatically, but windows does not even see the network until the adapter is reset like this.

I'm guessing there is an issue with the machine's wireless network config. Try deleting the adapter completely and then re-adding it. If that doesn't work... you may have to rebuild the machine.

It's a neighbor's machine.  If I can't get it to work by re-adding the adapter, then I'll tell him to take it somewhere!  HA!  I'm not into rebuilding others machines!  Thanks!
