Oh my gosh, once when Montana had the ball, he said "TN has another first down". It's one thing not to know your own players, but I would think he'd at least know his own team.

When I got to Knoxville in '92, I was introduced to Kessling. However, I'm from Chattanooga and Randy Smith was a fixture down there for many years before that. He's one reason Kessling doesn't freak me out as much as some others.

I do believe it is possible Smith was a major "broadcaster" influence for Bob Kessling's at some early point in his career. They are just too much a like!

Randy Smith did a great job as host on the Vol Network. As a play-by-play guy...bleh.
