Memphis is falling to the level,talentwise,of a Division II team. I wonder if Memphis could even be competitive in Division IAA

After seeing what Arkansas State did to them, anything is possible when it comes to Memphis State football.

If you go back a little farther they were Memphis State College, then Memphis State University now University of Memphis.  Really going up in the world.

Memphis State by any other name is still Tiger High. 

To answer your question, they are awful.  Case in point - Cincinnati scored 70 on Austin Peay, and could have scored 100 if they had wanted to.  Memphis struggled to beat Peay 26-7. 

I see where some want to see Memphis in the SEC.  They are exactly where they need to be.
