Same sad thing has happened to former Tide and NFL fullback Kevin Turner. Note both players were known as hard hitters and suffered concussions, and both articles point out the possible connection to football as a cause for their problems.

I have a very good friend with ALS.  Way back in the day, we were roomates after we first graduated college.  He lives in Dallas now.  Fortunately he has a milder case of it, similar to the type Stephen Hawking has, and so should live for a long time to come.  He is really frustrated more is not being done to find a cure though.

My precious sister-in-law is suffering from ALS.  She need prayers. Thank you VTTW friends!
