BF3 midnight release tonight.  I'll be there!

I don't remember ever being more excited about a game release.

Just got started on Arkham City over the weekend, it's pretty awesome so far.

I won't be picking up BF3 until after work tommorrow, and probably won't get started on it until Friday.

I am holding off on BF3 and will probably get it for Christmas. I've preordered AC-R and MW3.

Don't be fooled, Stogie isn't even going to the midnight release tonight.  I'll probably have to spend the week teaching him how to play.

Just read the review, and they're saying multiplayer is great, but the campaign is disappointing.  As someone who never, ever plays multiplayer, that doesn't make me happy.

For BF fans such as myself.. Campaign is nothing more than extra content.  In BF it's all about 64 player conquest mode on a huge, expansive map.  (Console gamers are limited to half that number of players).  BF3 was developed as a PC game then ported to the consoles, so the PC gamers are their #1 target audience.    Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 had no campaign mode at all, and I never missed it one bit.

You will spend the week either hiding behind me if we're on the same team or lying there as I take your dog tags if we're on opposing teams.

MW3's campaign is MUCH stronger.

Campaign is for those who are afraid to get in the fizzling ring.

No, campaign is for people who don't want to play online.

If by "afraid" you mean "not wanting to go through the hassle of getting my ass kicked for weeks on end by pre-teens who do nothing but play this game 24/7 just to level up to become competitive", then yeah, I'm afraid.

Lol, I was being silly.  Trust me, I'm with you.  But it's a known fact that CoD has a much larger number of those preteens screaming into their headsets.  Likely that is partly because CoD has more players.  Of course BF isn't exempt, but some of my all time favorite moments have come when Stogie and I find a server run by a clan of mature gamers who value teamwork.  BF is a much more team oriented game, which is conducive to mature gamers.

Well maybe Ill wade into the deep end with BF3.  Sounds like I'll have to if I want to get my money's worth.

I don't want to throw down $60 on a new game now since MW3 is coming out in just a couple of weeks. But you guys convinced me to go read up on it and now I want it. Must resist if at all possible.

When MS finaly gets around to releasing a new version of Flight Sim (they supposedly decided to reform a team to develop one) I'll spring for a new game,as Flight Sim is the only game I have and play.
