I'm guessing he is being the voice of the team.

I'm not a traditionalist and loved it two years ago but for God's sake Tyler, the team needs to quit worrying about jersey colors and start worrying about playing better.

We are NOT San Diego St. and I don't want to look like them.  I'm really pulling for Tyler to get well quick and I wish him all the best BUT, maybe this recovery time should be spent in the film room and training room getting ready for the next time he takes the field.  I'm sure he has aspirations of playing at the next level and I think it's important that he not WASTE his time pondering about Halloween costumes  for the football team.  Com'on Tyler.  Be a leader.

I would be perfectly fine with it if we didn't suck. Two years ago we beat UGa and ended up beating SC so I was good with it. Young players like it.

However... if we wear black this week all we will be is a bad football team in black. No way Dooley allows it.

I was just thinking of the horrorween jerseys two years ago this morning.  I wasn't a big fan but it energized the fan base (both approval and disapproval).  From that perspective it might not be a bad thing but our colors are ORANGE & WHITE.

I am not hip, I am not cool, I do not care. Put me in the traditionalist camp, BUT I'm not too worried about what a 19-year-old tweets. Quite frankly, I'm fine if Dooley works a deal with the team that if they can get to 8 wins (7 in regular season + bowl) they can wear the jerseys one game next year I'm fine. They've got to earn it.

Please don't mark this post because I'll whine about them next year if this happens.

Since Carolina's colors are garnet and black, I don't think our team should be wearing black. Just me saying....

It's not good to do a uniform thing and then get your brains beat out. You just look stupid.

I know it would pump up the team and some (most?) of the fans but that's not going to help a team that's as outmanned as this one.

Wear the orange. Save the black for another time. Hopefully next year.

Go ahead, make the adjustment and wear the black!    Besides, I have that #28 black jersey just waiting to be worn while I watch.

I would be all for it if I thought it would fire up the team and help them play better.

Problem is, they don't have a problem getting up for games. It's just that they wilt in the 2nd half.

Maybe we should pull a stunt off the old Mighty Ducks movie and switch jerseys at halftime.

I'm a staunch believer in tradition...From 1911 to 1920 black was the primary color for Tennessee football jerseys.

Leather helmets aren't a color.

I wasnt a fan of the idea of the black jerseys, then i realized the last time we beat a ranked opponent was when we came out in black 2 years ago against USCe...with that thought maybe the black jerseys will give us the same result again

Really?  Sadly, I recognize it all too well.  Have you been in hibernation for the past decade?

Black jersey's fire up the players. I agree that they ahve to earn it first. But if they do it, they need to add the black helmet with an Orange Power T on the sides. That would look awesome IMO.

Hubbs all but said in his Friday War Room today that there will be no black jerseys, but that there is some surprise coming.

I'm guessing all Orange. (Cue everyone with the  ... personally I love the all orange though.)

I love the all-orange, too.  I don't mind the black, I just don't think it really goes well with our uni configuration.
