I suspect that the SEC slate will still be a rough one, and UT may be exposed by a number of these conference teams with no true big man, but this team is far, far ahead of where I thought they would be at this point.

Well I won't say I told you so.    It was just a hunch that the cupboard wasn't bare.  Hall showed some flashes his freshman year.  I knew Maymon was a big time recruit before he transferred.  Golden, and McCrae were nice recruits.  Richardson is proving to be a nice freshman as is Yemi.  Miller is showing some potential, too. That said, would have loved to have gotten one of these top 10 teams!  I know everybody is disappointed with the two early signees.  I don't know who we are in on besides Stokes from Memphis that would please everybody with the "blockbuster" recruit image.  Obviously, coach is a coach.     We'll see how it turns out.  I'm going to predict 22-8.  Something along those lines, or could be worse with our schedule.  Surely we can beat pitt & uconn in Knoxville, and split with Vandy/Florida after this performance.  Go Vols!

When has Tennessee ever had a "true big man"?  Other than possibly Major Wingate?  The difference between 6'9" & 6'11" is negligible.  Maymon is a BIG MAN.  With muscle, and a wide body he will play much bigger than 6'7".
