http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8513861/aj-mccarron-alabama-crimson-tide-quarterback-practices-tuesday-knee-brace

It's just a bruise, apparently

Finebaum actually said today that if McCarron can't go bammer is in deep trouble.  Now, I know, who gives a shizzle what Finebaum says, but given that he spends most of the day sniffing saban's jock, and also probably fantasizes about being in a hot tub with saban during commercial breaks, if he says something like that to the unwashed crimson hordes it's probably pretty true.

Interestingly, the caller asked if Phil Sims would be ready to go, and probably meant Blake Sims, but Slimebaum didn't even bother to correct him.  Phil Sims, the former no. 1 QB recruit, transferred to Virginia a while back.

But hey, if McCarron has a bruised knee, he probably can't run away from us.     Maybe we can get a few sacks.  Sentimore can run that in Saban's face if he wants.

Yeah, but he's still hobbled.  Will make an easy target.

Yea, but before that can happen, you've got to get past Barrett Jones 1st team all SEC center, DJ Fluker, the largest human being to ever don a set of pads, Cyrus (Mount) Kouandjio, and Chance Warmack, who rivals Fluker for having the largest backside of any OL in the country.  Just sayin

I don't think there is anything to fear from our pass rush. Especially since bama never holds.

Well, FWIW, as Pirate notes elsewhere, we got two sacks vs. MSU and had pressure at other times, which is very unusual for us.

But how many times have we flushed the QB only to see him scamper away?  You have to figure that won't happen this time, at least.

And if AJ's knee is still bothering him, maybe his Daddy can come kiss it and make it feel better.

Isn't football a manly sport?  I mean.....

I'm not a Dr. but if its just a bruised knee then why a brace? Isn't a bruise is just a collection of blood in skin tissue from blunt force trauma..IMO a brace is to shore up and keep the knee from going out of the normal movement preventing stretching a or tearing a ligament...I hope he gets to see up close just how nice the turf is all night long in Neyland Stadium

Well if there was ever a coach that put his player's welfare over his own it's nick saban.  Cough cough hack hack.
