I get so nostalgic when I'm listening to John Ward that I am almost beside myself. I was watching the Vol Network's old Miracle At South Bend video this morning with John and Bill doing the audio and it really took me back. Sometimes I listen to some of those old clips and get a lump in my throat.

John said once as he was doing his final season tour that in 10 years no one would remember who he was. It's hard to believe that this is the 15th anniversary of his retirement.

It's enough to make ya teary eyed.  That song Kenny Chesney did that pays homage to Ward seriously just about makes me bawl, way more than any sappy love song Chesney ever has or ever will do.

He didn't include one of my favorites

Phillips running through, around, over and underneath defenders from South Carolina takes the ball all the way home for a miraculous touchdown ...

But man I sure do miss John

Literal goosebumps.  That song tears me up, I'm serious.
