Projecting starters, and backups who will play

1 - Thompson 6'5 soph
2 - Hubbs 6'5 Soph
3 - Richardson, 6'6 Sr
4 - Reese , 6'8 Jr
5 - Cofer, 6'8 Fr

Backups who will play

Davis - 6'9 Soph Forward
Moore - 6'5 Jr guard
Austin, - 6'1 Fr PG
Cornish - 6'4 Fr guard
Turman - 6'9 Fr center

This lineup is ugly. Not sure where all the points will come from. We will need to add a late transfer, MJ Rhett would help a lot. Hubbs will have to make big improvements, and we'll need our freshmen to grow up fast.

Either Hubbs has to come on strong, or Richardson will have to take 25 shots per game. Nobody else in that lineup can score, and among the bench players only Armani has any history of scoring (and that's only in spurts).

Also, four freshmen . . . groan . . . and at least two will have to play substantial minutes.

I don't think Hubbs coming on strong is even an option, he has to, for us to even sniff the NIT. If not, we're going to be Wade Houston bad.

Post play next year promises to be as bad as I have EVER seen it at Tennessee. This team's chances of postseason play next year are, sadly, not very good.

Armani seems likely to play a lot.  I think Richardson can replace much of McRae's scoring, but Stokes is irreplaceable.   Rhett could help there, obviously.   We really need Rhett badly.

If Hubbs recovers from surgery, they still need a big strong guy down low. Next year, I see no one that can rebound or score low.

Unless Martin has a personality transplant, I do not see him recruiting SEC caliber players any time soon.  He still appears to be recruiting players for mid-level NCAA competition where his last job was. One star player a class is not enough.  Martin will not get back to NCAA recruiting players with limited abilities.
