Okay.  I am missing the Marlon Brando reference. 

But is this a referring to when he went on a crazy rant at the Oscars or something?

Marlon Brando didn't come to the Academy Awards ceremony to accept his Oscar for The Godfather but instead sent a Native American woman, Sacheen Littlefeather,  to accept and give a speech about treatment of Native Americans.
