You're the go-to person on this stuff.

I need a good song for football player introductions during next week's senior night festivities. The song will play and there will be a recording of each senior stating his name, favorite memory, etc., as he walks onto the field with his parents.

Boys Of Fall is the most obvious choice and I love the song, but it's been used so much for stuff like that it's already become cliche. I need something similar. A little bit slow, a little bit wistful, without being too moody and depressing. I've almost come to the conclusion that there are no other suitable football-themed songs that are suitable, and the non-football songs I've considered so far are all too much tear-jerkers. Ideas?

Idk if it fits theme wise. But the song that struck me is "Free" by ZBB.  I was just thinking of how the carefree nature of beng that age, you know.

Not BVD, but Kenny Chesney's "This Is Our Moment" has been used for that purpose before.

Wait until I get home tonight and I'll go through my library and see what I can come up with.

Alright, here's a few off the top of my head:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/yf5qrVdD9E0" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/v/yf5qrVdD9E0</a>

This one isn't a football song per se, but it always makes me think of football season:

There are about a billion live versions and covers of Dylan's "Forever Young".  Strangely enough, I can't find the original on Youtube.  But if you can find it, it's the one to use.  Bob sounds much more lucid in it than he does live.

This one probably isn't what you're looking for, but the first time I heard it, I knew it would be perfect for a Vols highlight video whenever they climb back to the top of the mountain.  The theme of getting knocked down and getting back up again is really appropriate to our situation, and the studio version (which won't embed) even has a little bagpipe in it, playing to East Tennessee's Scotch/Irish heritage.  Now if we can just get Bruce to re-write and re-record those first couple lines of Jersey lyrics into something more Southern.  I'll give him a call and tell him to get right on that.
