With this latest defection Florida now has but nine public commitments and stands at an unfathomable No. 68 in team recruiting rankings.

68?!? Holy moley. I just looked Tuesday and they were in the mid 40s.

For the record, the worst class Dooley ever signed at Tennessee? No. 17.

Muschamp the worst SEC coach of the modern era? Yeah, I think so.

Well, they won't stay that low.  Even if they fill out the class with a bunch of 2 and 3 stars, they'll go up in the rankings.  Only having 9 commits is hurting them right now as much as anything.  But it's certainly not going to be up to their usual standards.

BTW, we were also sitting on 9 commits when Dooley got canned.  If you look at the commitment dates of that class, it's readily apparent that Dooley just quit recruiting.  Jalen Reeves-Maybin was the last guy to commit to Dooley at UT, and he did so on August 10, 2012.  We didn't get another commit until Butch was hired.

Sad thing is...we never beat MustardChump and I'm sure they'll upgrade with the next hire. We might not ever beat the bastards.

Is it hard to always be so negative?

The next guy might also not be any good, and even if is, will need at least a year to turn it around IMO.  Even Satan struggled his first year with the red team.

Further, I have faith that Butch will have a better product on the field next season (even with a new QB), and that we will be VERY competitive in 2016.

I am not going to predict that Butch will lead us back to being a premier program or even win the SEC, but I guarantee you we will present a much tougher nut to crack in 2016.

When you've beat a team like 5 times out of 21...no it's not. When you've had a All-Pro, future Hall of Famer QB in Peyton Manning that couldn't beat FL with the best talent in the SEC during those years and when you couldn't beat the worst FL team in 30 plus years with a lame duck coach, up 9 points at home with 11 minutes left in the game.....No it's not hard to be negative when it comes to UT-FL.

If you can give me something positive about it.....I'll be willing to listen.

I could've sworn that my original post was something positive about it.  BTW, our class currently ranks #5, and that will probably improve.  Our class last year was  better than theirs, too.  You DO realize that they had been recruiting circles around us up until Butch arrived, right?

0-3 against Muschamp. Vandy can't even say that.

And again, we've only recruited on their level for one year.  We've been at a HUGE talent disadvantage against them since the 90's.  That is now starting to change.  But it doesn't happen overnight.

Fine......I'll believe it when we can beat them 2 out of 5 times.
