I'm leaning towords KC. They have to have a ton of confidence after last night. Does SF feel the opposite? I don't know; I think that in all of sports baseball teams recover the quickest from the last game because they play so many games.

GIANTS. Because I want them to.  Also I think Bumgarner pitches and the Royals can't seem to figure him out.

I think just about anyone who isn't a Giants fan has to be rooting for KC.

It's amazing how baseball has changed in the past decade or so.  When it comes to the postseason, it used to be that you could just pencil in the top four payrolls in each league.  But Moneyball and sabermetrics have changed everything.  It wasn't long ago that MLB was tossing around the idea of contracting some perennially unsuccessful franchises, and the Royals, Pirates, and Rays were at the top of the list.  Now, all three of those teams are contenders.  Teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, and Angels, who in the past have embraced the philosophy of spending the competition into submission, are going to have to get leaner and improve their scouting and player development if they hope to win a title in today's game.

Though it worked out well for my Giants, I'm not sure the appeal was called correctly.
