Would have made a difference of one additional play and we possibly get the ball back with 10 or seconds to go

True but it had no chance to succeed.  I also think it would have been more like ~ 25 seconds.

Yeah,if they miss a 45 yard or so field go and we go 70 yards in under 10 secs and then go for two to tie..Was a poor decision by Jones but didn't change the out come of the game....Mizzou had one of the best Defenses UT played against this year...this game is just another building brick in the wall for this program under Jones..The biggest game of this year's team is next week..We win,we go bowling,I don't care if it's the toilet bowl..It's progress, slow but sure..UT is scratching and clawing their way back one game, one play at a time.It is a learning curve for the players returning next year, even the Johnson situation is a learning lesson..The dough is starting to rise and this team will be feasting come next year..Go Vols!!

Nothing was a given this year with the schedule UT had to start with and gutting both offensive and defensive lines and Hurd a true freshman and Dobbs the 3rd string qb..Is easy to forget that with the success they have had..Proud of the effort as painful as the growing pains have been..Beat candy and finish the job

Next year will be a 7 win team. This OL isn't going to wake up and become great all of a sudden. And yep, we will have some new faces on the OL next year which is also a problem being first year starters in the SEC.

We are 2 and most likely 3 years away from being in the top 5-6 in the SEC. Just the way I see it.
