I live in Marietta now.

My son is pretty fast at age 11 so yesterday, I started paying for a sprinting coach to do more detailed work with him before track season starts.

The instructor is the father of the Bama running back who just got kicked off the team a few months back.

As I was sitting and watching, all the other dads there were talking football.  One of their sons is apparently being recruited by Tennessee for the '17 class.  I didn't catch his name yet, but all he did was go on and on about Tennessee's facilities and coaches.  His dad was saying Tennessee is just HUGE right now in recruiting and that NO ONE can touch their facilities.  His son said nothing but great things about UT.  His dad said UT is going to win the East this year.

Man.... It was just great.

I just pray Butch is a good Xs and Os guy becasue he is getting the talent.

in the '96 Fiesta Bowl.....Florida was flashy and Spurrier's fun-n-gun was the talk of the town and here comes boring, predictable Nebraska and Tom Osborne and his well-known system.....the talented, well-coached & disciplined Huskers embarrassed the talk of the town and the Evil Genius. That Nebraska team is probably the most awesome team (yes I know it had criminals) I can remember.

But Spurrier won the title the next year. Same as us after our first loss to the Huskers.

IIRC Nebraska went on 2 drives against us.....one for 92 yards and the other 94 and they didn't throw a pass on either drive. I do remember our DL looked like they were wearing roller skates that night. UGLY!

Our DL was lean and fast.  Had Big Al been on the team that year, it likely would have gone better.
