Might be wrong.... but it seems the SEC has a rule that a transfer must have at least 2 years of eligibility left in order to enroll.

Not if the transfer has graduated from their school and is in "good standing" and has eligibility left.

What got McKnight was that he had school disciplinary issues on his way out of FGCU and didn't qualify because of the good standing requirement.

Yep.  And Golson is in the exact same boat:

But SEC bylaws have a list of criteria for graduate transfers that includes that ''the student-athlete has not been subject to official university or athletics department disciplinary action at any time during enrollment at any previous collegiate (excluding limited discipline applied by a sports team).''

Golson cheated on a test and was suspended by the university for an entire semester.  This should be an open and shut case.  Let's see if our friends in Birmingham apply the rule consistently.

Going to fl might not be such a bad thing since he's been a turnover machine.

The latest rumor is that he is interested in coming home to play at South Carolina.

If Spurrier allowed him on the team, it would make Steve's head explode when the Golson turnover machine kicked in. Golson just does not strike me as able to fit into any system Spurrier coaches. I would like to have the head visor contract for the number of visors Steve would ruin each game Golson played.

I've seen on various sites that UF, USC, UGA, LSU, and bammer are all interested.  So basically any SEC school without a returning QB.  Again, I will be level 5 pissed if the SEC lets him in.
