standards really that low? I heard that Wisky requires 17 core courses while the NCAA's requirement is 14, which he qualifies for. I don't get why they would have higher standards for their athletes. They are going on an athletic scholarship, not an academic one. Just cuts down on quality recruits for them if you ask me. Of course the narrative will be....the BIG has higher standards and the SEC will let anyone in.

As far as I'm concerned, they can relish all they want in their higher academic standards while we're rolling up 45 on them in bowl games.

BTW, the higher standards are a Wisconsin thing, not a Big 10 thing.

As for Stevenson, it appears that Nebraska and Oregon State are our biggest competition to land him.  He apparently plans to pick one by the end of the weekend and enroll immediately.  We could really use him, as our depth behind Hurd and Kamara is pretty much non existent.  And as a smaller, "pure speed" kind of back, he would really be a change of pace to those guys.

Just read on TOS that he has narrowed his choice down between Nebraska and Alabama......Guess we know how this will end.

Maybe so.  He'll be buried on the depth chart at bammer.

Bama's depth chart isn't what it used to be. They have lost a lot of guys to attrition, transfer, and injury.
