......no one.

The prize for the next drawing, according to the Powerball website, is $1300 million. That's 1.3 billion to the math unchallenged. Apparently the website can't show billion. They said on the news tonight that the billboards couldn't show a billion.

Cash payout is about 800 million. That's close to 500 million after taxes. Even though it's entirely possible that only one person wins it, or for that matter, no one wins it, I expect multiple winners Wednesday night. I can only imagine the shock one would experience if they immediately came into half a billion dollars.

That's reminds me of a story of a woman who won the Powerball many years ago. They asked her what she would do first and she said......."I'll probably fix up my trailer."

That's just because I decided that 800 mil wasn't quite enough for me, and went back to the store and got a refund for my would-be winning numbers.  But 1.3 Billion will probably be enough to cover my needs, so I'll go ahead and claim my winnings this week.

According to one of my psych. profs many years ago, suddenly coming into wealth doesn't change one's lifestyle, it intensifies it.

After I win, I'll probably turn out something like this.

From what ive heard most don't handle it well.

All kinds of parasites attempt to attach themselves, family relations can change, people can't adjust to not hanging a job and lose purpose, and depression is common and sometimes the final result is even suicide.

Just sayin.

I think I'll take the risk.

Yeah.  Whoever coined the phrase "money can't buy happiness" probably never had to go without.

Well I'm just kidding around above, but it really is true

But yeah,  I know....it might be a "gauntlet"  winning the lottery, but it's one everyone wants to run, to be sure.

Well except maybe for Warren Buffet, but everyone else for sure.
