Dang. Life just isn't fair at times. He seems like the type to overcome this tragedy. I wish nothing but the best for him.

This is surprising to me for several reasons, not the least being that he said just a few months ago that he was intent on joining the team by fall camp. Still, it's hard to blame him. Enough time has passed that this isn't purely a reactionary move that he'll regret later. Kudos to him for resisting the urge to chase an NFL dream that would likely not come true if his family needs him more. Few would've been man enough to make that decision at his age.

Putting his family first and making the tough decision that he did, has to put him in the  super secret  "honorary'' VFL category.
