The highest court in the land was a gnats ass away from hearing a case about deflated footballs. Gotta love football. And America.

I doubt he was going to obtain cert, which is why the whiny dude dropped it.
The Supreme Court usually focuses on emergency cases with a little more heft than a football dispute.

From a news report:
Brady’s legal team added Ted Olson and asked for an en banc review from the entire appellate court. That got denied this week in “a shock to Patriots nation.”

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

Yes, whether some pretty boy metrosexual should be allowed to play in a game is among the highest issues in our land.

Having said that, if anyone wonders why sports are such a big deal Murica, there is likely a mirror nearby.

I'm just glad that it is over and Brady is going to serve the suspension.  I don't dislike Brady as a player - he just flat finds a way to win games.  What I don't like is the way the media has played the Peyton vs. Brady card so many times, and it's not even an apples and apples comparison.

Brady is a great NFL QB.  He fits the system and his team mates love playing for him.

It was the same with Peyton.

Two different types of QBs, two totally different styles of leadership.

Both are winners.

For me, Brady's legacy will forever be tainted by cheating.  Not the deflategate, but the earlier cheating with stealing signals and illegally videotaping practices of opponents.  It has come out more recently that what was found by the NFL was only the tip of the iceberg, and that Bellichek had done far more.  All three of Brady's Super Bowl victories were achieved with massive cheating and even then New England barely won most of them.

I do think he's a great QB, but it really rubs me the wrong way to hear how "great he is because he won Super Bowls" when in reality the first three were fraudulently obtained.  If you know the defenses signals and know what they are running on a play by play basis, that might be just a tad of an advantage.

Robert Kraft needs to just shut up.  His teams have gotten away with cheating for too long.  Time for him to take his medicine.
