to can't sniff the NIT all in less than 3 weeks.

Bama.....Ole Miss....UGA....A&M get NIT invite.

Very disappointing, but I don't think that this team deserved an invite. The collapse during the final few weeks was unbelievable.

Corch said he wouldn't have went with the invite. He is starting to work on next year.

Bama was being mentioned as a bubble team, so I am not surprised they went to the NIT.

I am not happy that we didn't go to the NIT, but it honestly doesn't do a whole lot for the program.  Maybe a recruit will see a game at some point, but looking at a team's resume in terms of accomplishments the NIT doesn't add much other than "better than nothing".

That being said, I would have welcomed it as a chance to see the team in action again, and if by some miracle they win it, well that does add a bit of prestige.

So I guess I'm mildly disappointed...

I will say that I think Barnes was a good hire, and he has an excellent chance of turning things around.
