It's no surprise to see Tennessee at the top of the list. We've spent the last decade bankrolling money we could've paid for high-quality coaches.

Even with all the money we have spent on buyouts.  Had it not been for that, we could have improved cell phone reception and made Pirate happy.

Unlike Pirate, I'm happy. I have zero expectations of service.

Got it!
Even though EVERY other SEC stadium I have been to has either good cell or really food wifi (A&M) service, something Dave Hart promised more than once but FAILED to improve, let alone deliver.

I'm going to my first game at Suntrust Park in a couple weeks, which the Braves are billing as the most connected stadium in the world.  I'll see if I can verify.

I can't imagine it's that expensive to improve bandwidth compared to other upgrades, but I'm super ignorant about tech stuff. Oh well, until proven otherwise, I expect poor OL play and minimal coverage.

It's not

Hell, 3 trips ago to tuscaloser they were using COWs and I was getting decent coverage.
I know that AT&T offered the use of COWs at Neyland about the same time and Hart said Nyet!

What? They actually had the offer from AT&T? How'd we miss working out that deal? Ugh. Oh well, the balance sheet looked slightly better.

Seriously, how many COWs would fix our problem? Presumably all capacity is not the same, but there have to be heuristics.

I like to keep up with the Twitter commentary during the game. Neyland is the only stadium I've been in where that's impossible. It's frustrating and inexcusable.

Transiter radio got me in trouble when we beat Miss St in tripple overtime to win the SEC - couldn't restrain my joy listening to a very hoarse John Ward

Yes.  And high quality coaches just grow on trees.  This is why every single new coach hire in history has instantly resulted in a national championship the following year, with the sole glaring exception of UT.

You would think 4 mil would at least get you an SEC East championship in 5 years.

High-quality coaches are more common than diamond-in-the-rough coaches.

Um...????  How is that working in the SEC?  Who, besides Saban, is a "quality" coach?   Malzahn at least made the NC game, but he is on the hot seat.  McIlliwain has backed into a couple championships, but that's about it.

If you could make any single person in the SEC coach, other than Saban, and pay an outrageous amount of money to do it, who would you hire?

The issue is a lot more than money, and trying to make it all about money is just plain....(use your imagination  )

Oh and PS...the key to Saban leaving the Dolphins was probably this statement in a phone call by the bammer AD....("psssstttt.....we will buy any player you want, bubba, so come on up!")
