You have to at least give Tee a call, IMO.  He's the hottest coordinator in CFB right now. I know he's turned us down for assistants' positions before, but would he turn down a HC offer?  If we offer, and he declines, then yes- he can go pound sand.

Tee Martin?  really?

his wife won't let him though, from what I've heard.

That aside, here's an interesting thought.  Remember how Peyton was the QB to take us to the promised land, but didn't?  But then Tee did?

And what about how everyone wants Peyton to be HC of the Vols, and we all know that's a snowballs chance in h-e-double hockey sticks?

Hmmmmm......

Okay.  You made me laugh.  And that's saying something right now.

Here's a search of previous requests. They haven't changed much. Add Tee to the mix, and use Dan Mullen as a fallback.

1) Chip Kelly
2) Gary Patterson
3) Bobby Petrino
4) Dan Mullen
5) Tee Martin

Mike Gundy just turned 50, and isn't going to get a national title in Stillwater. He's a fallback name, but still.

I'm also calling David Shaw just to see. He's a Stanford man, but also a competitor. I assume he'll go to the NFL, but it nevet hurts to check.

As I sit here watching MSU polish off a blowout of LSU...

You know, I've always written off Mullen in the past.  He'd have the occasional good year, I'd call it a flash in the pan, then he'd go back to mediocrity the next year.  But he always seems to rebound.  MSU looks to be very good once again.  You just can't ignore him anymore.  He still strikes me as a snake oil salesman, and I'm still not sure he can recruit at an elite level.  But you just cant argue with his results at a place like MSU.  He wouldn't top my list, but I wouldn't be totally against hiring him, either.

Butch couldn't carry Mullen's jockstrap when it comes to coaching.

Believe it or not, I mentioned him in our LAST coaching change.     does more with less than any coach in the nation.  Could do worse, that's for sure, and definitely a step up from Jones.
