Troy better be careful.  The bammer state board of regents might shut down their program.

That game was 17-0 before LSU finally began to play in the 2nd half. Joe Alleva is rueing the day he fired Les Miles for Ed Orgeron.

This is what we have to be careful to avoid. If we can't hire anyone but a retread who was fired at a lesser school because he couldn't win there, let's hang on to Butch. Fortunately, I don't think John Currie is any Joe Alleva.

Troy and Jacksonville State are like the old Southern Mississippi teams......Take the state schools rejects/outcasts/misfits and beat your ass with them. Troy would beat UMass by 20 plus.

LSU could've had most anyone they wanted.  But the players wanted to keep Orgeron, and Alleva made the mistake of listening to them.  Currie absolutely can NOT repeat that mistake.

Yeah I seriously questioned the decision to let Miles go. For all the talk about LSU talent, it really isn't any better than a typical Georgia or Florida team.  Miles didn't get enough credit for holding it together.

There are some parallels to our program there for sure.
