Of course he didn't.  That's not something a punter takes on himself. 

Just another stupid coaching move.  Daniel is one of the best punters in the nation.  You let him punt.

I'm talking about a couple other punts that weren't up to his usual standard.  And I freely admit that I am not actually inside his head.  It's just a hunch.
