I agree.  And hey, Purdue is my other alma mater, so why not. 

It also occurs to me that Butch was rumored to be a candidate for the Purdue job.  Can we trade?

Petrino offense without Petrino baggage.   Our days of not throwing the ball down the field would definitely end.   I love Brohm,  he will make someone a great coach,  but I would much prefer we go for a defensive guru,  maybe Schiano or Venables.   As Petrino found out when Grantham left,  putting up big numbers won't win games when the other team is doing the same.   Easier to hire an innovative,  exciting OC than a lockdown DC.   Other than Urban,  the current top coaches built a defense first.

BTW, when a fanbase almost unanimously refers to their current coach in the past tense, and starts eyeing replacement candidates as if he's already been fired; when it's no longer a question of "if" but "when"... I would think that's a situation that an AD wouldn't want to fester.  Just sayin.
