Likely vandy loses to Mizzou next week and then two winless teams can compete to not be the worst in the SEC.  Maybe Brady Hoke can motivate our guys to at least win that game, thus avoiding the first 8 loss season and winless SEC season in Tennessee history.

That's a helluva thing to root for, but it's all that's left in this sorry season.

As for LSU....to quote the Dennis Hopper sneaker commercials from several year ago..."Pain, man.  Pain!"

Vandy's really bad.  All things equal, I would say we'll beat them.  But as is often the case against Vandy, it will all come down to our team's mental state (because you know they are ALWAYS going to be up for us).  Especially given today's news- it could either motivate them or cause them to check out even more than they already have.  I don't expect to beat LSU by any means, but it will be interesting to see if we offer any resistance at all.  That will be a telling sign.

There was talk of "no quit" yesterday, and I think for about 3 quarters that might have been true.  But in the 4th the players had clearly checked out mentally.

For the record, I think they show up both weeks.  Or hope so anyway....
