Maybe that's just her public speaking style (or lack thereof), but it seemed like she was having a hard time holding it together.

Shows she cares.

She didn't want to answer any questions. Not only about coaches but about the whole mess. She knows she screwed up when she hired Currie and now she's having to answer for it. Although she really didn't answer.

I think your fellow inmates lawyers might have counseled her to say as little as possible about a) currie and b) Schianno - thus the "multiple" phrase. lack of comments on any segment of the coaching search, etc.
I also found it interesting that she said she called him home early in the afternoon yet he did not apparently leave for several hours

This is so convoluted that you can never hope to know anything, but I think there is at least the possibility that the "loop" consisted of Haslam and Currie only, and Bev was broadsided just like everyone else.  On the other hand, the writers on this soap opera keep the plot a deep secret, so who knows.

From Davenport’s body language & speaking, she really looked like someone that had been chastised by her superior and giving an ultimatum. From her speech patterns, she really looked like she did not want to let Currie go, but it was not here chose. When you are an executive and your choice screwed up so royally, it is embarrassing and makes you look bad. I’m sure she did not want to talk about her failed hire. I also think it was not her choice to hire Fulmer, but DePietro made the call. So yes she looked chastened. If your boss had read you the riot act, you would not want to talk much either.

i got the same kind of vibes, but i also got the sense that she is a little detached from it all.

Being the President of the University of Cincinnati isn't the same as being the Chancellor of The University of Tennessee.

If she didn't know it before today, she does now.

I found it a bit funny back during Currie's introductory presser that she said she wanted someone with major college experience.

Good thing we didn't use that same criteria when we hired HER.

Exactly......She found out this week and she probably wished she was back in Ohio.
