When is the last time two teams from the same conference played each other in a bowl? (Other than in the NC game.)

I don't know the answer to this question but I think it's odd that they're playing each other in a bowl.

Perhaps the last was Archie Manning, with a broken arm, leading Ole Miss to a Gator Bowl win over Auburn in '69 or '70???

Tennessee played LSU in the Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl back in the 70's.  If memory recalls, UT beat Bert Jones and LSU in that game.

Found it:

MSU playing Louisville, A&M playing Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl.

Well that would make more sense. The ESPN Bowl lineup was in error. Shocking news.

It happens, but MSU-tamu would be a very odd choice.  Little to no drama in that one.

You are forgetting the biggest, least fair rematch in the history of college football.
