Never a doubt that he would be.

Really solid 2018 class:

Happy for Chipper, but disappointed in the scant support for Andruw Jones.

If you're going to take an all-defense, no-offense guy like Ozzie Smith on his first ballot, how does Andruw only get 7% of the vote?  He is by every statistical measure the greatest defensive outfielder of all time, and in his prime he added some great run production as well.  Of course, Ozzie was marketable, great with the media, and a great ambassador for the game off the field, while Andruw couldn't do interviews without a translator until late in his career.  I guess that's the difference.

11th highest percentage in history.

Griffey, Jr.
Seaver
Ryan
Ripkin
Cobb
Brett
Hank
Gwynn
Big Unit
Maddux

Pretty good company.  My only comment:  Why is Ken Griffey, Jr. at the top of the list?  I certainly agree he is a Hall of Famer, but best percentage ever?

If memory serves, that was a slim year for legit candidates.
